PPP condemns KE for disconnection campaign just before Ramadan

Karachi. 2.6.2016: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders Najmi Alam, Sardar Khan, Izhar Ul Haq Hassan Zai and Lateef Arain have condemned Karachi Electric for disconnecting electricity in various mega residential blocks in different parts of Karachi.
In a statement issued from PPP Media Cell Sindh, they said that it has been observed that the KE always launches disconnection campaign on the advent of religious or national festivals and especially with the start of the holy month of Ramadan Al Mubarak.
They said that the KE has also deprived those consumers who regularly pay their monthly electricity bills on the pretext of electricity theft and illegal connections in which KE’s officers and employees are directly involved.
They said the KE has created problems for the Muslims on the advent of Ramadan and the disconnection of electricity has also created water crisis in areas where the KE did its disconnection operations.
They said the PPP has been warning against KE’s plans for creating unrest and chaos in Karachi. The federal government has to control the KE or else the unrest and agitation in Karachi would also not spare the federal government.
