Islamabad September 1, 2016: Former President Asif Ali Zardai has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the passing away of renowned Journalist, publisher, editor and writer Mr. Zahid Malik, Editor-in-Chief, Pakistan Observer in Islamabad Thursday morning.
In a condolence message the former President said that Zahid Malik was an accomplished journalist and a prolific writer whose contributions to the profession will be long remembered.
Zahid Malik was not only an accomplished journalist but also a multi dimensional personality. A great patriot and a compassionate human being, late Zahid Malik led a disciplined life and possessed qualities of head and heart that endeared him to many. His work on indexing the Holy Quran will continue to guide and inspire many and will be the first line in his biodata, the former President said.
Zahid Malik played a highly successful innings before departing to meet his Creator, Zardari said in his message.
This is an unsubstantial world and everyone who comes into it must one depart it also. Blessed are those who are remembered kindly after they have passed away and Zahid Malik belongs to this category of blessed people, the former President said.
May Allah rest the soul of Zahid Malik in eternal peace and grant patience to members of the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude, he prayed.
