PPP only biggest hurdle to extremist gangs: Qaim Ali Shah

Karachi. 13.10.2016: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader and former Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said PPP always offered tremendous sacrifices for the democracy and remained at the forefront of defence for the democratic system in Pakistan. However, the extremist gangs while taking PPP as the biggest hurdle ahead to implementation of their vested designs on the people of the country, targeted it and hence the party could not run the campaign for the general elations in 2013. Nonetheless, people continued to standing with the PPP.
He was addressing the PPP work4rs and media at the main reception camp set up at Bilawal Chowrangi, Thursday. on the occasion, Labour adviser Senator Saeed Ghani, information adviser Maula Bux Chandio, Minister Shamim Mumtaz Wasi, Rashid Hussain Rabbani, Waqar Mehdi, Najmi Alam, Habibuddin Junaidi, Lateef Mughal, Zulfiquar Ali Kaim Khani, Sardar Khan, Iqbal Sand, Sharmila Farooqui , Waqas Shoukat and a large number of PPP workers were present.
He said that people gave a historical warm welcome to slain PPP chairperson Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed on her return to Pakistan on October 18, 2007 but the terrorist gangs had attacked her convoy and more than 175 PPP workers were bathed in blood while more than 600 were left as injured.
The grand Salam Shuhda Rally would be produced from Bilawal House to Karsaz to pay homage to the martyrs of October18, on October 16. The PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would lead the Salam Shuhda rally and would give a historical address to the people of Pakistan.
Later, PPP Women Wing President and MNA Faryal Talpur also visited the main reception camp and enquired about the progress and preparations for the Salam Shuhda Rally. She also gave necessary instructions to the party officers and Salam Shuhda Rally managers.
