#BBZPressConference: “Will chant ‘Go Nawaz Go’ if demands not met”

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Wednesday (today) called for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to accept his four demands, or be ready to face slogans of ‘Go Nawaz Go’.

During Salam Shuhda Rally on Sunday Bilawal had put forward four demands to the government:

  1. To re-constitute a parliamentary committee on national security
  2. To pass Panama Bill drafted by Pakistan People’s Party
  3. To implement the resolution regarding CPEC
  4. To immediately appoint the foreign minister

Talking to the media at Naudero house in Larkana, Bilawal hailed Sunday’s ‘Salam Shuhada’ rally held in remembrance of October 18 Karsaz martyrs, a success. He thanked the people of Karachi for coming out in support and said the rally sent out a clear message against terrorism.

He said the October 18, 2007 blast, which killed more than 170 people and injured hundreds, was the biggest terrorist attack in Pakistan’s history. “We witnessed 9/11 here every week,” he said.

said that when terrorism was at its peak a few years ago Pakistan witnessed 9/11 every week.

“Pakistan people love democracy and hate terrorism,” he said while addressing media at Naudero.

“I will leave no stone un turned to make Pakistan a welfare state dreamed by Muhammad Ali Jinnah,” he added.

He further said that the Karsaz incident was the most powerful blast in the history of Pakistan.

He vowed that the Sindh government would protect the rights of all in the province, adding that Larkana is his constituency.

Criticising the prime minister’s policies relating to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Bilawal said, “Nawaz Sharif is the prime minister of Pakistan, not just Punjab.”

He also told that he has finalised three candidates for the slot of Party President in Sindh upon the recommendations of the Party workers from all the districts in the province. “Senior Party hierarchy will now be consulted and final nomination shall be made very soon,”.

The finalized three candidates include former Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and Maula Bux Chandio.
